In loving, living memory, John Melançon 1928 – 2007
[Background: Walking to a gas station convenience store last Friday, on the way back from a trip, my grandfather tripped on a curb and fell, hitting his knees on the sidewalk and his head on the door. In the emergency room in Connecticut, pain not from the extremely painful immediate fall, but in his back and sides, began following (coincidentally or not) a tetanus shot, according to my mother, who was with him. That is the pain that has not abated. After i met him at the Sagamore bridge around 11pm Friday and brought him back to his home in Wellfleet, he held court until after 1am.
Equal parts vinegar and water, and dry right away.
OR: spray vinegar.
Most seem to say apple cider vinegar.
And tea tree oil.
Eat probiotics like keifer and yogurt, and also try to have Bragg's organic apple cider vinegar.
Using 25% Undecylenic acid (fungi-cure)

It feels different. It had felt like it sort of sealed itself over before.
Google didn't have much for "if my tooth is falling apart, does it mean i have a cavity?"
but i think i'll just get to Manda's awesome dentist if i need to.
It's a small tooth crowded up front if the whole thing does fall to pieces the others will probably just fill the space.
Take better care of teeth. Take better care of teeth.
Hair looks healthier too. Not to say it's growing back, or anything, but the hair line has probably stabilized until i go off the nutrition deep end again. 'Cause i don't think stress levels have changed one way or another, though i guess there's no reason for my body to respond to stuff objectively.
Hair still falling out. I've always had a thing for pulling out shedding fur, so at least i'm enjoying it while it goes.
Bad diet? Unhealthy lifestyle generally? Low-level stress? The fact that I like to pull out any kind of shedding fur? All apply. I don't think i can blame the vegan thing but my hair seems to be thinning way faster than my genes would dictate. Hope I look good bald.
@TODO nutritional audit and start eating right.
(interestingly, i don't have a single white spot on my fingernails, another alleged sign of malnutrition)
Teeth are still there.
Dental care suffered a bit in the travel. Need to pack a better toothbrush and enough floss next time.
One of the reasons I did the NYC road trip-- a tossup until the last second, especially when the bus wouldn't work out because I missed the last feasible train into Boston -- the damn sciatica was too painful to concentrate on work. Pain is such an individual thing it is very hard to tell, but I am pretty sure i have a high pain tolerance and this thing is a holy terror.
Started 2009 with a good 30-odd hour fast. Not eating is a lot easier for me than eating in moderation. But I will eat in moderation in 2009.
What's healthy and nutrient packed to start off with my first breakfast / lunch? No wonder I over-eat so much, I substitute quality (in the sense of figuring out what I need to eat) for quantity, and then just let the poor body process it all...
So: Soymilk and cereal (a small amount) and a banana.
An apple and a peach at some point.
Vegetables, and possibly corn tortilla chips, with the leftover salsa and hummus.
note to self: do not eat one bar of 85% cacao chocolate by myself
