In loving, living memory, John Melançon 1928 – 2007
2008:
I lost my virginity.
And I found love, and am keeping it.
Despite mediocre job performance on my part, Agaric is successful and expanding.
I traveled (in part on a Foundation-funded conference tour) and saw lots and lots of friends, including a few new, in Chicago (a couple times), Minneapolis, St. Louis, Oakland, San Francisco, Riverside (CA) – this all being my first time in California, completing the lower 48 – New York and New Hampshire repeatedly, Providence, Washington D.C. and Sissonville (WV).
My younger brother gave me his Honda Insight, the manual transmission first hybrid gas-electric car available to consumers, and the only automobile I can imagine even pretending to own.
I acquired an older sister.
Found out my most valuable domain names, PWGD .com and .net had slipped from my possession by hook or by crook.
Finally found a person (whom I already knew) with the energy and passion and an independent vision congruent with People Who Give a Damn.
Maybe my resolution should be to have a more normal 2009. Nah.
2009:
Work like crazy to make Agaric awesome.
Organize my priorities and life.
Launch PWGD/VisionsUnite.
Find more love.
