Well, maybe the world is going to meet me half-way. Now I just have to get my act together and meet it.

Main thing: I caught the 9:21 a.m. train... at 9:25 a.m.!

I left the Northwest Lab Building (realizes I should have told someone looking for the "Northwest Building" where it was, but I really didn't remember when he asked) with just the time to spare, planning to see Kaveri on Thursday instead, and swiped to let someone into the T. I had to then add more money to my card, but I didn't miss the train at all. And sitting on the bench at the platform was a perfectly good apple.

Brain-opening conversation with brightly lit foldable bike guy on the Commuter Rail– I can probably bike into Cambridge faster than the hour and a half it takes by train and subway. So if I do miss the train... just keep going.

[update, much later, i find the text file i wrote on the train:

I'm on the 9:21 a.m. train that I just barely caught at 9:25. Maybe there is a merciful deity after all.

Because there is no way I could have taken the dogs out (even as brusquely as I did), showered, and packed the food I want to bring to Kaveri

[the first time i delayed to pack food intending to share i also got a few extra minutes on the train]

and the next train would have been at 11:21 - after the 11 o'clock meeting.
