In loving, living memory, John Melançon 1928 – 2007
Cathy came over after her work Friday and brought the razor that I left in her car last Sunday (which even my slow-growing facial fur is very much missing, since I didn't even use it at the Cape).
I was still finishing up on a site that was launching, and then I realized my way of theming forms broke their submission, and had to fix that right away. Cathy did the invitation cards for Steph's bachelorette party in the meantime, and I finally took a shower. (Still didn't shave though.)
We did the post office run for the invites (and I forgot the books Mom had addressed to send out for the Fund for Authentic Journalism) and I picked up Grandpa's minivan.
So this is the second visit where Cathy is helping me do work!
Then we walked Zelda and, accomplishment of the year, dismantled and removed a tree that has been blocking the path (former railroad track) since the beginning of the winter. (I had broken off branches to make a small walkway through it, but with Cathy we took off every branch, finally working our way to breaking off the bigger ones down the trunk (this wasn't a huge tree, but the branches were still strong). The path clear, we put heavy rocks on the remains of the trunk to weight it down and maybe in time pull it out of the high bank next to the path.
