There is no "international community". There are governments, there are people who give a damn, and there are people in Haiti fighting to survive. We need to get resources directly to people in Haiti, not let our government try to maintain its control over Haiti's destiny that has been so disastrous for Haiti. Bill Clinton and George W. Bush, whatever their intentions, can go to hell for acting like their walking around Haiti was doing anything for humanitarian aid, and can stay forever in the worst part of hell for not owning up to the policies of destroying Haiti's economy and democracy that have ensured every natural disaster becomes an outsize human tragedy.
