In loving, living memory, John Melançon 1928 – 2007
Bangpound has noted that there's no evidence tying teen suicides to national legislation, as LGBT rights organizations jump on the recent string of suicides by homosexual teen boys. This is true, and focus should be on things that actually help kids (which are likely to be things that would help all minority, bullied, disadvantaged, different youth). However, looking at the effect of the national climate and how we actually discuss and act toward queer people, especially where children are nearby, is preferable to scapegoating Richard Kim makes in "Against Bullying, or Loving Queer Kids".
