Never been to Paris before. Let me say, the entrance from Charles Degaulle airport by subway did not impress me, in the evening I was carting all my stuff and looking for that impossible combination of electricity (U.S. style plug!) and internet, and i still appreciate the small, clean, winding sometimes but sort of layed out to a plan streets, the charm of the buildings, even the fact that the only commercial establishments allowed within city limits are apparently ones that have to do with eating and/or drinking.

Deja vu one: Stopping on a very dark staircase trying to figure out if this was the apartment i'm staying at, or if the top inhabited floor is reached by continuing up the stairs, which look like they should be heading toward a roof finally. Both times- another level.

Deja vu two: Looking at the map unable to find the destination and thinking about A and being in better communication.
