In loving, living memory, John Melançon 1928 – 2007
Well, a bit before sundown, I guess, but with all the trees around the lake, I count when the sun goes behind them.
Ducks and cormorants (?) and turkey vultures (?) sharing the vertical slice of the island receiving the last of the sun.
Five people swimming nearby. Older, European I think, speaking French I think. Apparently people from the U.S. do not swim outside of approved areas.
Spent most all day on an estimate for a web site. A pretty cool one, and thanks to Tom's good work the project is pretty much ours, so while the work isn't billable it's not likely to be wasted either.
Listening to an old Barenaked Ladies tape that apparently I made (live album, but stuff out of order), I'm going through a huge box of tapes that are primarily Jakob's. I realize the Barenaked Ladies was the first current music I got into. I remember Julie saying she searched for information on "Barenaked Ladies" online, and could not believe what she found!
Now to finally finish Ventus referrer and path tracking and to do Anjali's site!!
As of this morning Dan and Shannon were on their way to India, they should be nearly there now. I'm pretty excited about not letting Agaric go under while he's gone-- but still considering escaping to India myself, not copying Dan and Shannon but rather copying Ian and Anjali.
For the moment– onward with work!
