Saturday night. Quite fun.

I gave him my 'real' external hard drive (most impressive casing) for his birthday and told him to treasure the random data i left on it forever.

Rich, Manda, and Andrew went— and arrived before me.

Manda brought excellent, truly excellent vegan and gluten free brownies -- the brownies themselves were excellent, with carrots and raisins in there somehow, and there were vegan and non-vegan versions of the frosting (the vegan was sugar, margarine, and tofutti cream cheese, making that the first cream cheese of any kind that I liked).

Everyone liked them and they were much pined for when they were gone.

I brought salsa, lots of chips, but only a half small container of hummus. I still have to tell Vafa that I knew I could ethnically stereotype him and count on there being a big tub of hummus, as there was.

***

Josh broke a window with a wiffle ball from a distance of about 90 feet.

***

One of the highlights: seeing Manda educate people on the CDC's latest guidelines for avoiding meningitis and oral herpes while playing beer pong. She does that so well; it's never bossy or preachy it's just ... fun.

***

I love Andrew's trademark "You follow that dream." .. when Manda says she has to go to the bathroom, or someone else wants to get a beer.

***

Watching the Reilly sisters debate open relationships among each other and Manda, with everything posed in the hypothetical while sitting right there as the real case, was wonderfully surreal. Andrew was cracking up. I raised my hand at one point but no one saw.

Vafa told me I could bring my computer in rather than go home. That's love right there. (I went home, though. Told him I was going to try to leave with dignity.)
