you can put in any credit card you want on the fly

i personally dislike it-- and, i hope they changed this, but they used to reject credit cards *already associated with a PayPal account*

but serious usability issue that makes PayPal completely unsuitable for any serious e-commerce site
there's got to be tons of people who signed up for PayPal at one point, got in the system somehow (e-bay probably puts you there automatically) but don't actually know they still have it / want to use

this is an intentional decision to keep people on the reservation
putting their own interests way ahead of merchants who use them
