I would add that making open source free software is a truly radical act economically. While ideas are not property (whatever capitalist governments may try to enforce) ideas do work as capital in the economic sense. Intellectual efforts embedded in things, including software, are an increasing proportion of total assets.

Yes, we need to fight so that all humanity has equal claim to our common inheritance of land and material assets, but with free software we have this crazy opportunity to build wealth that by law (and nature) belongs to everyone.
