Free AdviceIn general, check with beMWeb before buying a domain name or web hosting service. Looking into every registrar and web host on list after list has turned up a few growing plants among the weeds and decay. This advice I get paid for. If you buy hosting through the links below, I get five bucks. I've been promoting DrakNet Hosting long before they had an affiliate program and I've bought four lifetime accounts with them, so I'm not saying this for the money (the banner ads are because of the money). Drak.net, the host of this site, is an inexpensive and friendly web host. And a little bit different, as you can see: They have a $36/year intro account, but full-service hosting starts at $5 a month as advertized below (if you already have a domain name, click on shared hosting and then Junior to order):If you don't yet have a domain name, don't overpay. There's no domain name registrar I can recommend over and above all others right now (beMWeb is with Active-Domain.com), but I can make sure you pay less than $10 a year and get a full range of forwarding and other services included. For free good advice on domain name registration ask beMWeb. Try to stay away from buying everything in one big package. Certainly dont go to one of those places that tacks on web site design to hosting like its a set of steak knives. LinksWeb Design: information on how to make web sites. |
